What Makes Us Unique

About The Esperanza

The Esperanza Sober Living Apartments in Dallas consists of 40 one-bedroom apartments housed in two buildings of 20 apartments each. All residents at The Esperanza must be at least 21 years of age and must have 30 days continuous sobriety prior to move-in, or be referred directly from a residential treatment facility. We are located at 2820 and 2900 Reagan St., Dallas, TX 75219, near the intersection of Cedar Springs Rd. and Oak Lawn Ave.

We have three unique floor plans to choose from in both buildings. Each apartment is individually occupied as we stress independent living at the Esperanza. The Esperanza is a 12-step based facility which provides accountability for each resident seeking to overcome their addiction. We have three onsite 12-step meetings each week, and attendance is mandatory for all residents. In order to be admitted to the Esperanza residents must be willing to diligently work a 12-step program.

All of the apartments have hardwood floors throughout, slate kitchen and bathroom floors, granite kitchen and bathroom countertops, brand new stainless steel appliances consisting of refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, and over the stove mounted microwave. In addition each apartment has a wall mounted 40“ HD smart TV in the living room. Each apartment has high quality furniture throughout with the living room consisting of a couch, love seat, coffee table, end tables, lamps, rug, dining table and chairs; and the bedroom containing a queen headboard, footboard, pillow top mattress, box springs, dresser, mirror, night stands, lamps, and writing desk and chair. Each apartment is also supplied with all necessary linens and towels, including two queen size memory foam pillows, a queen down comforter for the bed, and the kitchen is furnished with a 4 place setting of silverware, dishes, glasses, cups, sundry cooking implements, toaster and coffee maker.

There are three floor plans (A,B,C) available and monthly rent varies depending on the floor plan selected. The monthly rent includes DirecTV and high speed Wi-Fi at no extra charge. This also includes gas, water, trash and sewer utility charges, however each resident will be responsible to reimburse the Esperanza each month for their electric bill as the electric bill remains in The Esperanza’s name and each resident will receive an individual bill for their monthly use.

A $500 deposit is required upon move in, as well as an initial payment of $250 which represents reimbursement for our costs of drug and alcohol testing supplies, including frequent lab analysis of specimens for the initial 90-day commitment. Thereafter, residents are billed an additional $150 quarterly to cover the continuing costs of urinalysis. Random urinalysis is administered to the residents throughout the lease term with a minimum of two per week the first 30 days of residence and at least weekly thereafter. There is a minimum 90-day lease required upon move-in and thereafter the lease may be terminated with either party giving 30 day notice. IOP is recommended with several excellent programs in the area, but not required.

Residents with minor children are allowed to have weekend and holiday overnight visitation, but children are not allowed to reside here. We are pet-friendly and allow up to two pets (dogs and/or cats) upon payment of a $250 non-refundable pet deposit per animal.

We can hold an available apartment for one week with the payment of the $500 deposit, but we do not maintain a wait list. If you live in the area and are interested, please contact us to schedule a tour of the facility and we can interview each other to see if the apartments are a good fit.

We are available to tour 11 am to 3 pm Monday through Friday by appointment. If you have any other questions or would like to see our special provisions outlining our program, please call us at 214-995-8255.
